The opening ceremony, which was attended by several officials and a large crowd from the city of Dibba Al Hisn, featured a documentary on the history of the city of Dibba Al Hisn. It also highlighted the cultural aspects of the city and its heritage. 

Several local and Arab bands performed folk arts before the onset of a poetic evening by poets Youssef Al-Maamari, Abdullah bin Sulayem Al-Katbi and Ahmed Adam Al-Mannai, who delivered poems on various topics including patriotism. 

Concluding the ceremony, Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi along with other officials honoured government institutions participating in the event as well as other participants in the festival’s activities before the Culture Department presented Sheikh Saeed with the commemorative shield.
