Poems Illuminate the Sky of Sharjah at the 'Arabic Poetry Festival'

The Cultural Palace in Sharjah hosted the third evening event of the 21st edition of the Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival, with the participation of a group of poets from the Arab world: Ahmed Bakhit (Egypt), Najat Al Zahiri (UAE), Qasem Al Shammari (Iraq), Shaqra Mudakhali (Saudi Arabia), Al Wathiq Younis (Sudan), and Hassan Idris (Libya). The evening was presented by the poet Omar Abu Hayja and featured the participating poets.

The event was attended by His Excellency Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of the Cultural Affairs Department in the department, poet Mohammed Al Braiki, Director of the House of Poetry, and a large audience of poets, intellectuals, and academics from both the UAE and the Arab world.
