Poems Celebrating Hope and Soaring Through Realms of Meaning Within the Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival

As part of the 22nd edition of the Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival, the House of Poetry in Sharjah hosted, on Wednesday evening, the third poetry evening, attended by His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Culture, along with a large gathering of poets, critics, intellectuals, and lovers of Arabic poetry, filling the hall of the House of Poetry.

Seven poets took part in the evening: Hassan Al Mutrushi from the Sultanate of Oman, Omar Al Sarai from Iraq, Hagar Omar from Egypt, Ahmed Al Suwairi from Syria, Tahani Al Subaih from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdulrahman Al Humairi from the United Arab Emirates, and Dr. Ahmed Balboula from Egypt. The evening was presented by the poet Abdul Karim Al Hijab from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The evening opened with readings by Omani poet Hassan Al Mutrushi, who presented a diverse selection of his poems, including “Fruits of Fire.”

At the conclusion of the evening, Abdullah Al Owais honored the participating poets by presenting them with certificates of appreciation, in recognition of their creative contributions.
