On the Second Evening of the Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival: Poems That Rekindle Images of the Past and Others That Resonate with the Essence of the Present

The Sharjah Cultural Palace witnessed the launch of the second evening of the 21st edition of the Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival, infused with a spirit of diversity. The poems were enriched with various features, taking their listeners on a journey through the paths of creativity. The event featured a distinguished group of poets, including: Rashid EIssa (Jordan), Sheikha Al Mutairi (UAE), Ibrahim Al Wafi (Saudi Arabia), Mousa Brahimi (Algeria), Jassim Al-Ajja (Iraq), and Ibrahim Al Fahri (Mali), and was hosted by media figure Mohammed Al Mansouri (Morocco).

The evening was attended by His Excellency Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of Cultural Affairs at the department, poet Mohammed Al Braiki, Director of the House of Poetry, and a large audience of poetry enthusiasts who filled the hall. 

The poems varied between emotional expressions and a longing for the past, with words overflowing with hopes of yesterday and glimpses of tomorrow. They carried a boundless imagination and a rich spiritual essence, as the poetic taste surged, reaching the hearts of its listeners.
