Poems Wrapped in Nostalgia and Memories at "Sharjah for Nabati Poetry"
Five poets, both male and female, presented their masterpieces of poetry on Thursday evening at the Cultural Palace in Sharjah, in a distinguished and memorable evening of the 19th edition of the Sharjah Nabati Poetry Festival. The audience expressed admiration and praise for the diversity of ideas and poetic styles in the evening, which featured the participation of: Emirati poet Ahmed Balabda Al-Shamsi, Emirati poet Ahmed Khalifa Bin Mutrif, Bahraini poet Abdulrahman Al-Mudhahika, Iraqi poet Soolaf Samir, and Jordanian poet Malak Al-Ziyoud. The evening was hosted by poet and media personality Badris Khalifa.
The evening was attended by His Excellency Abdalla bin Mohammed Al-Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Qaseer, Director of the Cultural Affairs Department, and poet and media personality Butti Al-Mathloom, Director of the Al-Heera Literary Council.
The first poet of the evening was Ahmed Balabda Al-Shamsi, who presented poems filled with loyalty and belonging to the United Arab Emirates, expressing love for the homeland and pride in it. Al-Shamsi also sang praises for the Emirate of Sharjah and the noble qualities of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al-Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
