A Poetry Evening Brings Images of the Past to Life at "Sharjah for Nabati Poetry”
The second poetry evening of the 19th edition of the Sharjah Nabati Poetry Festival was held at the Cultural Palace in Sharjah, featuring a distinguished group of poets from the Gulf and the Arab world: Hamad bin Hashil Al-Zaabi (UAE), Hamoud Khalaf Al-Qahtani (Saudi Arabia), Khalid Khathim (Kuwait), Huthaifa Al-Hadhaleen (Palestine), and Nouf Al-Mandoos (UAE). The event was hosted by media personality Shoug Al-Dosari.
The evening was attended by His Excellency Abdalla bin Mohammed Al-Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture, Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Qaseer, Director of the Cultural Affairs Department, poet Butti Al-Mathloom, Director of the Al-Heera Literary Council, and a large number of poets, intellectuals, and enthusiasts of popular poetry.
The evening was marked by the audience's engagement with the poetic themes presented, which ranged from reproach, longing, and love, with the poems also expressing a deep affection for Sharjah.
