Cultural Palace Hosts a Poetry Evening as Part of the Sharjah Nabati Poetry Festival

The Cultural Palace in Sharjah hosted a poetry evening as part of the 20th edition of the Sharjah Nabati Poetry Festival, in the presence of H.E. Abdallah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah; Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of Cultural Affairs at the Department; Butti Al Madhloum, Director of Al Heera Literary Council; along with a number of Nabati poetry enthusiasts and cultural figures. The readings varied between national, emotional, and sentimental themes.

The evening, presented by Mohammed Ghanim, featured a distinguished group of poets: Mohammed Balasher Al Khateri and Hamda Al Mur from the UAE; Nader Al Meghaibi (Saudi Arabia); Hamad Ghareib (Jordan); Barzan Al Suhaim (Iraq); and Badria Al Badri (Oman).

Emirati poet Mohammed Balasher Al Khateri opened the evening with a selection of poems rooted in national and emotional dimensions. His poetry moved between gratitude and prayer, invoking leadership values and civilizational renaissance, while also embracing introspective confession and confronting themes of loss.

In conclusion, H.E. Abdallah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, and Mr. Mohammed Al Qaseer, in the presence of Butti Al Mathloum, honored the participating poets in recognition of their efforts and their participation in this edition of the festival.
