The forum celebrated four distinguished Moroccan cultural figures whose contributions have enriched the Moroccan and Arab literary and intellectual landscape: poet and novelist Mohammed Achaari, writer and critic Abdel Fatah Kilito, author and critic Ahmed Al Madini, and academic and researcher Dr. Houria Khemlichi.

The forum is held in implementation of the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to honor distinguished literary figures who have made significant contributions to contemporary Arab culture. This marks the forum’s fourth visit to Morocco.

The ceremony took place at the National Library in Rabat in the presence of Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of the Cultural Affairs Department at the Department of Culture; Ghazlane Drous, Director of the Directorate of Books, Libraries and Archives at Morocco’s Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, representing the Moroccan Minister of Culture, H.E. The ceremony was hosted by Moroccan poet Mokhlis Saghir, Director of the House of Poetry in Tetouan. In his opening remarks, he welcomed the attendees and emphasized that the Sharjah Cultural Honors Forum embodies the vision of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in celebrating Arab creators and recognizing their intellectual and literary achievements.
