“Between the Sun the Moonthe Lantern & the Niche”A Light Exhibition That Tells the Story of Illumination in Islamic Arts

Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of the Cultural Affairs Directorate at the Department of Culture in Sharjah and Director of the Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival, inaugurated the exhibition “Between the Sun, the Moon, the Lantern & the Niche,” organized in collaboration with the Union of Arab Photographers, as part of the festival’s 26th edition. The opening took place at the College of Fine Arts and Design at the University of Sharjah, in the presence of Dr. Nadia Al Hassani, Dean of the College; Adeeb Shabaan, President of the Union; along with a group of international photographers, participating artists, and photography enthusiasts.

The exhibition features the works of 36 photographers from various countries around the world, presenting visual narratives that tell the story of light in Islamic arts through unique shots that weave details between shadows and reflections, revealing the beauty of everyday life.
