Various Workshops at the Sharjah Calligraphy Biennial

As part of the activities of the 11th Sharjah Calligraphy Biennial under the theme "Inscriptions," organized by the Cultural Affairs Department of the Sharjah Department of Culture, numerous diverse workshops in calligraphy and ornamentation were held. Among these were workshops conducted at the Sharjah Center for Arabic Calligraphy and Ornamentation, including "Construction & formation in calligraphy work," by Mr. Mohammed Al Noori. There was also a workshop on "The aesthetics of line in Diwani Jali script," supervised by Mr. Mohammed Farouk Al-Haddad, and a workshop on "Techniques of Contemporary Illumination art," by Mr. Mousab Al Douri. Participants in these workshops trained in specific techniques related to the Diwani script and the accompanying gilding techniques for artistic works, as well as the fundamentals of building calligraphic panels.
Additionally, several workshops were organized at various mosques in Sharjah, including a workshop on "Writing Numbers," supervised by Mr. Ayman Chazal at Al-Noor Mosque in Sharjah, a workshop on "Letterisim painting on printed background," held at Al-Huda Mosque in Al-Khalidiya, by Mr. Reda Jumaa Mansour, and a workshop on "How to Repeat Letters and Words in Regular Shapes Using Digital Art," at the University of Sharjah Mosque, supervised by Mr. Hossam Ahmed. Another workshop focused on "Writing the name of Allah with diacritics in Thuluth script" at Al Huda Mosque in Al-Khalidiya, supervised by Mr. Reda Jumaa, along with many other workshops that attracted a large number of calligraphy enthusiasts of various ages, providing opportunities for many talents to refine and pave their way in the art of Arabic calligraphy.
