The Consul General of the Arab Republic of Egypt Visits the Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival

Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of the Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival and Director of the Cultural Affairs Directorate at the Department of Culture, welcomed H.E. Dr. Hossam Hussein, Consul General of the Arab Republic of Egypt, accompanied by H.E. Counselor Shaimaa Darwish, Deputy Consul General, at the Sharjah Art Museum. The visit took place as part of the 26th edition of the Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival, held under the theme “Lantern”

Al Qaseer welcomed the visit, affirming the depth of the cultural and fraternal relations that unite the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt. He highlighted the importance of such meetings in strengthening cultural and artistic exchange and supporting civilizational dialogue grounded in shared human values.

The visiting delegation toured the halls of the Sharjah Art Museum, where they viewed a selection of exhibitions and artworks participating in the festival. These works presented contemporary interpretations of Islamic art through diverse artistic visions that combine authenticity with experimentation, reflecting the richness of the aesthetic and spiritual experience of this profound artistic tradition.
