13 Creative Voices at the Guinea Arab Poetry Forum

Under the patronage and support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Directorate of Cultural Affairs at the Sharjah Department of Culture, in cooperation with the Faculty of Arts at General Lansana Conté University in Sonfonia, Conakry, organised the fifth edition of the Arab Poetry Forum in Guinea.

Held in the capital, Conakry, the forum brought together 13 poets and was attended by a number of professors, researchers, and enthusiasts of the Arabic language, poetry, and literature.

The forum is part of a series of Arab Poetry Forums held across the African continent, within the framework of Sharjah’s cultural efforts to strengthen the presence of the Arabic language, encourage poets and literary talents, and create opportunities for interaction between creative voices in Africa and the Arab world. These efforts contribute to supporting the cultural and literary movement and reinforcing the role of Arab poetry as a platform for communication and greater understanding among peoples and cultures.

The forum was attended by higher education professors, researchers, and officials from educational institutions and Arab-Islamic associations in the Republic of Guinea.
