Sudanese Artist Mohamed Mokhtar’s Exhibition Draws on “Aesthetic Experience in the presence Arabic Calligraphy Art”
H.E. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, together with Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of the Cultural Affairs Directorate and Director of the Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival, inaugurated the exhibition “Aesthetic Experience in the presence Arabic Calligraphy Art” by Sudanese artist Mohamed Mukhtar. The exhibition was opened at the Emirates Fine Arts Society as part of the 26th edition of the Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival.
The exhibition highlights a significant aspect of Mukhtar’s personal journey, featuring more than 35 works representing various Arabic scripts that the Sudanese artist has created over years of dedication to this timeless art form. His works emerge from a personal foundation, shaped by insightful visions and experiences drawn from emotions and readings that guide the viewer from one impression to another—ultimately forming unique visual interpretations in a world of letters that extends through his reflections and creative spaces.
