Poems Embellished with the Richness of Language at the House of Poetry 

In an evening where poetry flourished in the beauty of language, the House of Poetry at the Department of Culture in Sharjah hosted a poetic event on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. The evening featured poet Mukhtar Sayed Saleh, poet Dr. Hanaa Al-Bawab, and poet Mohyiddin Al-Fateh, with poet Mohammed Al-Jubouri as the presenter. The event was attended by Mohammed Abdullah Al-Buraiki, Director of the House of Poetry, along with an audience of poetry enthusiasts, poets, critics, and media professionals who gathered from across the UAE. They filled the House of Poetry’s theater, ready for an extraordinary evening of poetic flights in the realm of Arab literature.

The evening began with poet Mohammed Al-Jubouri, who expressed profound gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for breathing life into poetry and gifting the Arabic language a renewed history and lexicon through his patronage. Al-Jubouri also extended thanks to the Department of Culture and the House of Poetry in Sharjah, while warmly greeting the audience.

The readings commenced with poet Mukhtar Sayed Saleh, who offered a heartfelt tribute to Sharjah in the form of a poem that celebrated its beauty, culture, and boundless horizons of creativity and poetry.
