The evening was attended by Rashid Mohammed Rashid Al Zaabi, Director of the Eastern Region Department at the Sharjah Department of Culture, and Mohammed Abdullah Al Buraiki, Director of the House of Poetry in Sharjah, alongside a large gathering of writers, poets, media professionals, and lovers of Arabic poetry. Participating in the readings were poets Hassan Al Najjar from the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah Abdel Sabour from Egypt, Dr. Omar Al Raji from Morocco, Talal Salem from the United Arab Emirates, Khalid Al Hassan from Iraq, and Najat Al Dhaheri from the United Arab Emirates. The evening was moderated by poet Ghassan Adel from Iraq.
At the opening of the evening, Ghassan Adel welcomed the audience, expressing his gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his constant patronage of platforms of creativity and his continued support for the Arab cultural and poetic scene. He affirmed that Sharjah continues to listen attentively to poetry as an act of knowledge and a way of life.
