Seven poets from various Arab countries graced the sixth evening of the Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival. The poets were: Hassan Shihab Al-Din (Egypt), Sawsan Dahnim (Bahrain), Abdullah Al-Hadiya (UAE), Salem Al-Shabani (Tunisia), Mohammad Shawdab (Syria), Qusay Al-Nabhani (Oman), and Ola Khaddaro (Lebanon). The evening was moderated by the poet Abdullah Abu Bakr (Jordan).
The event was held at the Cultural Palace in Sharjah, in the presence of His Excellency Abdallah bin Mohammed Al-Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Qusair, Director of the Cultural Affairs Department, and Mohammed Al-Buraiki, Director of the House of Poetry, along with a large audience of poets, intellectuals, and academics.
The poems reflected deep introspection and evoked memories with a striking blend of themes that explored the depths of the human soul, along with various other topics including human, emotional, and national concerns. The readings, delivered with distinction by the participants, captivated the audience with their rich poetic blend.
