at the Emirates Fine Arts Society

As part of the activities of the Sharjah Calligraphy Biennial in its 11th edition, titled "Inscriptions," organized by the Cultural Affairs Department of the Sharjah Department of Culture, an art workshop titled "The Art of Illumination" was held on Wednesday, supervised by the decorator Mousab Al Douri, with the attendance of several students and enthusiasts of this authentic Islamic art.

At the beginning of the workshop, Al Douri discussed the importance of Islamic decoration and refinement as one of the most prominent Islamic arts that has developed over the centuries to reflect the spiritual and artistic beauty of Islamic civilization. It primarily relies on geometric patterns, plant motifs, and Arabic calligraphy, characterized by harmony and precision in details.
