Poets Scattering Their Creativity Across Realms of Beauty

The House of Poetry in Sharjah continued to welcome cultural highlights, as the sixth poetry evening was held yesterday evening, Saturday, as part of the twenty-second edition of the Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival. The event was attended by His Excellency Abdallah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Culture, and Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of the Cultural Affairs Directorate at the Department of Culture, along with a distinguished group of poets, critics, and a large audience of Arabic poetry enthusiasts.

Seven poets representing diverse poetic experiences from across the Arab world shone during the evening: Mohammed Arij from Morocco, Mudhar Al Alousi from Iraq, Nasser Al Ghassani from the Sultanate of Oman, Jabr Baadani from Yemen, Mohammed Ould Adumo from Mauritania, Aseel Saqlawi from Lebanon, and Dr. Khalifa bin Arabi from the Kingdom of Bahrain. The evening was moderated and presented by Abdel Latif Mahjoub from Sudan.

The participating poets took turns reciting their poems, with each poet presenting a poetic piece distinguished by the diversity of its themes. This lent the evening artistic richness and a variety of poetic styles and visions.
