Raddad, Ashour, Wiam, and Al Mir Recite for Sharjah and Life at the House of Poetry
The House of Poetry in Sharjah hosted a poetry evening on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, featuring poets Dr. Raddad Al Hathali, Mahmoud Abu Ashour, Wiam Kamal Al Din, and Wael Al Mir. The event was attended by Mohammed Abdallah Al Breiki, Director of the House of Poetry, in addition to a large audience of critics, poets, and lovers of poetry.
The evening was presented by Dr. Rasim Al Nouri of Al Qasimia University in Sharjah. In his introduction, he said: "Here, beneath the generous shade of the House of Poetry, we pledge to nurture and sustain poetry, through which we restore order to our inner selves, regain a measure of our balance, and offer the soul a window onto broader and more beautiful horizons. Thank you, Sharjah, for making culture the spirit of the city and poetry the language of hearts. Thank you... to its wise educator and ruler, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah; patron of knowledge, culture, thought, and humanity.”
