The eighteenth edition of Sharjah Festival for Arabic Poetry launched on 5th and will remain until 10th January 2020, organised by Department of Culture, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member, Ruler of Sharjah. Over 40 participants from many Arab countries will be attending the festival. The festival will honour Emirati poet Salem Al Sabri, Moroccan poet Ismail bin Omar Zwariq and they will be awarded the Sharjah Award for Arabic Poetry in its 10th edition.
