Sharjah Arab Theatre Forum

The annual Forum takes place in Sharjah over two days, to discuss the most prominent developments and new guidelines in the theatrical directing, especially after the constant change that the Arab world has been seeing. The changes have a significant influence on the formation of new movements in the Arab Theatre, its vision, and its objectives.

What is sought by the Forum is questions on how to develop concepts and new theoretical directions in the Arab Theatre, and how current events have affected the artists to shape it. Was the Arab Theatre able to express what it wants to say? And how it manifests itself, and to which extent can we talk about the trends of a new play, and where have the efforts reached to produce a new theatre and the consolidation of the idea of theatrical creativity.

These questions are raised and discussed through a variety of dialogues and meetings held for the Sharjah Theatre Days in this Forum.
